April 12, 13, 14 & 15 - "Come On-A My House." Dawn, along with her talented friends, will be hosting a very special open house. This fun and "inspired living" experience will offer an assortment of beautiful hand-made gifts and services, along with prizes and refreshments. You are welcome to come browse, shop, or sneak a peek at Dawn's current cookie designs, and home and garden decor. See how she decorates for the spring season throughout her home.

May 11 & 12 - Dawn's Annual Pant Sale. This great garden event will take place in Dawn's front yard at 907 E. Pacific St. Appleton, WI. An assortment of perennials, annuals, bulbs, seeds, potted succulents, and garden gifts will be available for purchase. You won't want to miss the many tips on a variety of gardening demos taking place. Dawn will show you how to pot up beautiful hanging baskets and sun loving succulents in very unique containers. See how she incorporates a temporary green house into her small yard to help get an earlier start with plants. Discover how to develop, design, and prepare a new flower bed. Dawn will go through steps on how she plans to turn a small uninteresting patch of front lawn into a beautiful garden statement.

June 28 - Mixology in the Garden. (I really think this is just an excuse for a garden party!) Learn how to make refreshing summer beverages in a relaxing garden atmosphere. This event will include both alcohol and non-alcohol recipes from a selection of liqueurs, mixes, cocktails, coffee and tea type drinks, frozen smoothies, punches and more. A hands-on event...or just enjoy relaxing time with friends, birds and butterflies, wonderful home-made summer beverages, and light hors d' oeuvres. Includes beverage recipes.

Cookie Decorating Workshop #1 “Fall Cookies,” above, by Dawn Koehler. You will learn how to decorate four beautiful fall cookie designs during this hands-on workshop. To be held in the Dining Room of the B & B following the tour.
Luncheon – We will take nourishment at the charming Freckled Frogg Cottage Café and Outdoor Garden Bistro. The Freckled Frogg is a short drive nearby in Waupaca at N2729 QQ. Cookie Decorating workshop #2 “Winter Cookie Quilt” by Dawn Koehler. At this workshop, you will learn how to decorate 24 small tile shaped cookies to create one pretty quilt pattern, enough to fill a large serving tray. To be held in the Dining Room of the B & B following the luncheon.
A Wine and Cheese Pairing by Dawn Koehler. To be held at the B & B as social time before dinner.
Dinner (not included in package) – We will travel a short distance by car to the warm, old-world character of T.W. Martin’s Irish Pub & Restaurant in Waupaca at 111 Cooper Street. This pub’s structure was built in 1868 and is listed on the National Historic Register. The pub features excellent food and drink served in a traditional pub atmosphere. www.twmartins.com

On Friday evening, join Dawn Koehler at the Apple Tree Lane Bed & Breakfast as she hosts casual conversation on topics such as “Eating Healthier, and Why Too Much of a Good Thing, is Not So Good For You.” “How to Compost and Why You Should.” “The Positive Rewards of a Happy List.”
Workshop information:
The cookie decorating workshops are hands-on and interactive. You will learn how to make and apply royal icing to create a dozen or more beautiful cookies at each themed workshop. You will receive an offset icing spatula or cookie cutters, and a beautiful hand-decorated cookie gift sample. Each guest must bring two rectangular large flat trays with edges or jelly roll pans at least 13 x 18 inches in size to transport your cookies home.
The package design workshop is a hands-on workshop where you will receive instructions and materials to assemble multiple package designs to create beautiful gifts with your “Fall and Winter Cookie Quilt” themed cookies. Packages will range in style and size to best suit your individual taste and cookie quantity per package.
